At the mint, I saw old and new coins, gold bars and and collectibles made out of gold and other minerals. There was a gold pouring demonstration. I also watched through glass while people made coins. There are gold mines, iron mines, copper, aluminum, and other types of mines that make Western Australia prosperous.

This sculpture represents the gold strike in 1892 that created the huge gold rush in this part of Australia.
