Koondoola photos

There is a nature walk in back of Koondoola.  There is some aboriginal art in there.  I love to sit and read in the gazebo in the morning when I get there early.

There are no hallways at Koondoola, only sidewalks between buildings.

These are some of the kids who I am with every day.  They are having a breakfast unit and get to make and eat breakfast foods on Thursdays.

The staff lounge is really big and it has air conditioning which is better than some classrooms.  Dishwasher to wash all of the many the tea cups that the teachers use every day.  Tea break every day at 10:45 is nice.

  1. I wish there was a way to comment on every photo individually like facebook haha.
What type of foods to the children in your classroom make for breakfast?

I can't tell what some of the pictures are. The ones that look like paintings (of trees and animals), are those pictures of the floor?

Very cool, I can't wait to hear all about your trip when you get home!

  3. The kids are eating typical western or Australian breakfast foods. Started with cereal (Weet-Bix) and yogurt, then carrot and banana muffins (those were fun to make) then French toast. It's one of many ways to teach English by having the kids mix and pour and crack an egg etc. Hands on stuff is good. Then they have to write sentences about it. That's the hard part. These are year one English learners.

The paintings are on the floor of the gazebo. They are scenes from nature - trees kangaroos and birds mostly.
